KISS to headline AFL Grand Final of The Footy Show

Get the face paint ready, one of THE greatest bands in rock ‘n’ roll history, KISS, are set to blast The Grand Final Footy Show.
The legends behind hits like Rock And Roll All Nite, I Was Made For Loving You, Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud, and God Gave Rock ’n’ Roll To You will get the 12,000-strong crowd at Rod Laver Arena on their feet with their signature brand of entertainment.
In a huge coup for The Grand Final Footy Show on October 1 this year, KISS – who have sold over 100 million albums – will belt out two songs in their first Australian performance on their 40th Anniversary World Tour.
Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer, can’t wait to perform their hits for Australian fans.
“I’ve loved Australia since the very first time I visited,” Paul Stanley says. “It is one of the greatest secrets on earth and probably better to keep it that way. The food, wine and women are all extraordinary and everyone has always welcomed me and made me feel like it is home.”
The Grand Final Footy Show performance will kick off the band’s Australian tour, which starts two day later on Saturday October 3 at the Perth Arena. The tour features the spectacular ‘Spider’ production, moved by 38 computer controlled winches, featuring 220 automated lights, weighing in at 43,000 kgs, incorporating 900 pieces of pyrotechnics and powered by 400,000 watts of sound.
Tickets are on sale today (Friday) for KISS’s second Melbourne show at Rod Laver Arena on Friday October 9.
