Positive Feedback is looking for a passionate Publicist to join our awesome team on a full time basis.
The person will account manage publicity, radio, communications and creative clients for national and international artists, brands and projects.
You will strategise and run music-focused publicity projects across traditional, new and undiscovered platforms including but not limited to triple j, alternative radio, online and print press TV and DSPs, with a focus on developing the profile of your client in an authentic, creative way.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Positive Creative team to facilitate creative campaigns for our artists. With the manifesto of making cool things happen, this new arm of the business sees us engaging with our strong network of key tastemakers in music, fashion, lifestyle, tech, art and culture, seeking out new and creative opportunities to connect artists with wider and more diverse audiences in an organic and unique way.
Report to clients, your manager, director and the team to ensure campaign targets are met and delivered on time and above and beyond expectations.
Digital marketing, brand partnership management, DSP pitching, international PR experience, domestic commercial radio and an artist management background will be looked upon favourably.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL
Be creative, collaborative, strategic, positive, organised and enjoy being part of a small team – as well as the changing possibilities of the industry.
Have at least 2 years of relevant experience in public relations with strong media and industry contacts, a passion for music and the creative industries and a fundamental interest in developing careers and long-term strategies for an exceptional client base.
Have an interest in project management on a global level and have a strong knowledge and interest of media outlets both locally and internationally to assist in developing and expanding the domestic and international media database.
Be passionate about organisation, processes and communication with a strong attention to detail managing workflow across the board. Be balanced and calm under pressure, have fun and a sense of humour. Be productive, efficient and driven with high attention to detail.
Be an exceptional communicator and have excellent people management skills – whether this be creating collateral, reporting to clients, communicating with the Director or delegating to staff.
Highly creative and emotionally intelligent, able to capitalise on clients’ unique passion points in order to create strategic promotional plans and long-term vision for clients and the business. Full of integrity and highly ethical, loyal and driven by the manifesto of making good things happen for good people.
Use their own initiative and be creative with expansive, big ideas for their own projects as well as the rest of the team if called upon. It is important that this person is independent but also actively collaborative.
Be as comfortable doing admin jobs as creating global PR strategies for the roster. As a small agency, this person can’t be afraid to get their hands dirty and do whatever needs to be done to see the efficient running of the business. Understands the value of hard work and professionalism and is able to transition seamlessly from attending industry and client events, shows and festivals to office-based tasks.
