We currently have an exciting role available for Head of Marketing for The Edge! This is a new role & business unit within ARN, and so the position is envisaged to evolve and change with the business. Responsible for developing the national marketing strategy, growing 18-29 audiences for The Edge across FM, DAB+, iHeart Radio, and social media platforms.
Key role outputs include:
Grow audiences & ratings for The Edge on FM, DAB+, iHeart and social media platforms
Develop, lead, and execute a national consumer marketing plan for The Edge in line with business and brand priorities
This role will ensure we leverage relationships with labels, promoters, artists, talent, and cultural organisations to drive marketing outcomes
Collaborate with the ARN Marketing team on budget tracking, Media Plans, PR/Comms and Trade Marketing initiatives. Identify innovative initiatives that can be monetised and assist with positioning The Edge brand and product offering to engage an 18-30 national audience
Build & manage key relationships for The Edge within the music & entertainment industries
Oversee & manage the marketing calendar and work collaboratively with relevant internal teams to execute campaigns – aligning with commercial and content strategies and objectives.
Collaborate with ARN marketing teams on the effective implementation of media planning and buying
Own and manage the marketing budget, including day to day financial management and ROI tracking (in collaboration with ARN Marketing)
Identify partnership opportunities which provide The Edge with audience growth and assist in positioning The Edge brand

The successful candidate will have:
Passionate about music and marketing
Strategic thinking with an analytical mindset
Ability to put a creative spin on the traditional, to drive ideas which seize the moment and reflect current trends relevant to our audience
Strong ability to lead and influence key internal and external stakeholders
Project planning and management skills
Ability to work under pressure and within timeframes
Good networking and relationship building skills
Strong Communication skills
A strong understanding of the lifestyle and interests of The Edge 18-30 National audience
Expert in the Australian music and media landscapes
Understand how to create and execute great brand strategies and marketing plans
Extensive marketing, campaign development and implementation experience with experience working across traditional and digital channels
Experience in managing commercial partnerships and sponsorships
A strong understanding of, and connections within, the Australian music industry – particularly around Hip Hop and R&B
Knowledge of broadcasting laws and codes.
Formal qualification in marketing or related discipline
Minimum of 8years in marketing management, with experience working on brands with a youth audience or consumer
Solid understanding of all digital and social platforms
Proven project management experience
