Group Financial Accountant
UNIFIED Music Group is this year celebrating our 10th year in business by continuing our rapid growth in the four key areas of operation; artist management, label services, events and merchandising. The strengthening of our teams in the US, UK and locally as well as investments in new businesses and services will continue to drive the global growth of UNIFIED.
Across the group, UNIFIED is involved in supporting and investing in careers of creatives, staff and talent as it delivers releases music via labels UNFD, Domestic La La and THAA, manages the careers of domestic and international talent in music, gaming and podcast, festivals (UNIFY Gathering, Land of Plenty), merchandise (Super Special, Built to Spill), creative services (The Annex) and other artist services (Lonely Lands Agency).
Reporting to the General Manager, Finance you will be responsible for the oversight of the day to day financial functions of the group. This includes supporting the end-to-end financial accounting needs; overall financial management and statutory reporting activities of the group as well as providing oversight to the existing finance team. Additional key elements of the role include ensuring robust financial systems and internal controls are maintained and operating effectively.
The successful applicant will ideally have
Commenced or recently completed the CA/CPA program
A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
Experience in managing staff
The ability to adopt a systemized approach and enjoy reviewing and improving processes
Strong communication, relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills
You are a team player who is naturally inclined to take a hands-on approach to achieve desired outcomes.
