Independent Chart Wrap: Safia move closer to #1

The Carlton Dry Independent Music Singles Chart sees a similar Top 2 this week with Jarryd James’ Do You Remember maintaining his lead at #1 followed closely by Sia’s Elastic Heart at #2. Safia’s Counting Sheep hits a new peak at #3 up from #5.Chet Faker’s Gold sees a jump to #6 from #12, no doubt due to the recent service to radio it had in recent weeks.

The radio play chart sees Jarryd James hit a new peak at #1 with Do You Remember which is up from #2 and only in it’s third week in the chart. Ecca Vandal’s Battle Royal moves up to #4 from #17 following a strong reception on triple j, markinga new peak for the track. Ainslie Wills also sees a new peak at #9 with Drive. The Delta Riggs’ For Tonight (Live Forever) is up at #12 from #18. Only one new debut takes place this week and it comes from The Jungle Giants with Every Kind Of Way.

The albums chart has Courtney Barnett maintain her hold at #1 with Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit after debuting in the top spot last week. #1 Dads’ About Face hits a new peak at #4 up from #11. Three new debuts take place at #5 with Awaken I Am’s Shields & Crowns, followed by Rose Carleo’s Time Is Now at #7 and Belle Haven’s debut album Everything Ablaze at #11.
