Independent Chart Wrap: Hermitude holds the top of the Albums chart

The Carlton Dry Independent Singles chart witnesses Sia’s Big Girls Cry return to #1 for another week. Dropping to #2 from #1 is Hermitude’s The Buzz featuring Mataya & Young Tapz while Sia holds #3 and takes #4 with Elastic Heart and Chandelier. Japanese Wallpaper’s Forces featuring Airling returns to #5 while Chet Faker’s Talk Is Cheap and Sheppard’s Geronimo re-enters the Top 10 at #7and #8 respectively.One new debut is seen at #20 with Art vs. Science’s In This Together.

The Albums chart sees a familiar Top 2 with Hermitude’s Dark Night Sweet Light holding #1 after debuting there last week and Sia’s 1000 Forms Of Fear at #2. Courtney Barnett’s Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I just Sit returns to #3 from #5 while Flight Facilities’ Down To Earth returns to #4 from #7. Seth Sentry’s This Was Tomorrow jumps back up to #13 from #20. Three re-entries take place this week at #11 with The Black Sorrows’ Certified Blue, Kerser’s King at #15 and Gurrumul’s self-titled at #18. Two new debuts make their way in as well at #7 with Colleen Hewett’s Black & White and Lloyd Spiegel’s Tangled Brew at #20.
