Music industry’s mental health conference, Head First, postponed

Support Act’s inaugural mental health conference for the Australian music industry has made the decision to postpone the event due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions around the nation.

The event, dubbed Head First, was due to take place in Sydney on Thursday, July 29 at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM).

Head First was to revolve around the four pillars of health, future, workplace and culture, including discussions about sexual health and safety within the industry, burnout, resilience and work/life balance, and the price of musical ambition.

Head First organisers, Support Act, said the organisation remains fully committed to the very important event and the discussions it will facilitate.

A specific date for the rescheduled conference has not yet been announced, however it will take place at AIM at some point in October.

Ticket holders will be contacted over the coming weeks.

More information on Head First is available here.
