George Ezra to perform at ARIAs, full presenters unveiled

British performer George Ezra is the latest international name announced as a performer at next week’s ARIA Awards – and says he’s planning a surprise.

“I’m very honoured and flattered to be invited to return to Australia to play,” Ezra said.

“I’ve been preparing a very special performance of ‘Shotgun’ for you guys, and I’m so excited to share it with you.

“Hopefully, I will see you all there!”

Dan Rosen, ARIA chief executive added, “Off the back of his smash hit ‘Shotgun’, that spent five weeks at #1 on the ARIA charts, we are thrilled to welcome George Ezra to Sydney to join us in celebrating the 2018 ARIAs with a very special performance.

“Fans are in for a treat.”

‘Shotgun’ also spent four weeks at #1 on The Music Network’s airplay chart.

Since release, it has accumulated over 23 million streams and 40,000 downloads in Australia alone.

It’s also officially named the biggest song of the summer in the UK by the Official Charts Company.

Today also sees the first and final announcement of the Australian and International stars who will be presenting on the night.

They now also include Briggs of A.B. Original, Conrad Sewell, Gang Of Youths’ Dave Le’aupepe, Jessica Mauboy, Jimmy Barnes, Mýa, Paul Kelly,Peking Duk, Richard Marx, Rita Ora, Sheppard, NOVA’s Smallzy from Smallzy’s Surgery, Sophie Monk, Stephen Kilbey of The Church, Troy Cassar-Daley, Troye Sivan, Joy, triple j’s Veronica & Lewis and Apple Music Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe.

The Keith Urban-hosted ceremony from The Star, Sydney on Wednesday, November 28 is broadcast on the Nine Network.
