Having just recently won triple j’s Unearthed High competition, South Australian singer-songwriter George Alice has partnered with Ditto Music to promote her debut single ‘Circles’.

The release of ‘Circles’ saw Alice take the cover photo on Spotify’s Front Left playlist, while the tune has climbed to #1 on Australia’s viral charts, and spent time on high rotation on triple j.

She’s also just signed with Paradigm’s Tom Windish and Ira Goldenring (Billie Elish, Lorde) for the USA and Andy Clayton (SIA, Bastille) for the UK and Europe. Alice has also recently inked a local deal with Brett Murrihy and Sam Rogers at WME.

“I’m so fortunate to work with such an incredible team of people who care so deeply for this project,” Alice tells TMN.

“It’s really exciting to see a team around the world getting on board for something that started as just a fun little experiment, and to now see it grow to what it has become. It is beyond what I could have ever imagined.”

Commercial radio has started to come on board following the recent official service of the track. Most recently, ‘Circles’ was added to Late Nights on the Nova Network, and across ACE Radio Network’s Coast FM and four Mixx Fm stations in Victoria.

Other stations to have spun the tune include SYN, Hit105 Brisbane, 4ZZZ Brisbane, Joy FM, Double J and Hit100.9 Hobart.

“We’re really excited to have partnered with George Alice and her management to help push ‘Circles’ globally together,” says Sarah Hamilton, Ditto Music’s Regional Manager Australian and New Zealand

“The song is connecting so well, and it really shows that independent artists can see huge results when the music connects and is promoted and pitched on a global level. We can’t wait for what’s next from this talented artist!”

Alice has plenty to look forward to, having secured slots at Laneway and Hot Dub Wine Machine festivals, as well as been added as support for tours by Broods and Tash Sultana in the comping months.
