Confirmed: G Flip lands worldwide travel support from Virgin with ARIA Emerging Artist Scholarship

Melbourne musician, singer-songwriter and producer G Flip ends a remarkable 2018, confirmed as the recipient of the second ARIA Emerging Artist Scholarship presented by Virgin Australia.

She will receive travel support for both domestic and international legs of her 2019 world tour.

Through a number of airline partnerships, Virgin Australia has a reach of 450 destinations.

The scholarship was set up to help emerging artists with their Australian and international touring.

It was open to any Australian artist (represented by a current ARIA member) who has not been previously nominated in any ARIA Awards category with an album or single before the 2018 Awards.

“Thank you to the ARIAs and Virgin Australia for allowing upcoming artists this opportunity.”

2018 saw G Flip break out with her debut single ‘About You’ reaching at #26 on the ARIA Charts and follow up ‘Killing My Time’ peaking at #11.

During the year, she racked up 11 million Spotify streams, with 3 million fans on the platform from 65 countries.

America’s NPR.com (National Public Radio) placed ‘About You’ at #37 on its Top 100 tracks of 2018.

G Flip plays Laneway in February.
