Sycco signs with Future Classic

Brisbane singer-songwriter Sycco, real name Sash McLeod, has signed to Future Classic, joining a roster that includes Flume, G Flip and Flight Facilities.

The signing news coincides with Sycco’s new single, ‘Germs’, which arrived with an accompanying music video directed by Summer King and Zoë Hilditch. The single and video were funded through a triple j Level Up Grant the singer earned in July.

‘Germs’ is Sycco’s third single for the year, following on from ‘Dribble’ and ‘Nicotine’.

“I am so excited to be partnering with Future Classic,” the singer told Billboard.

“I really respect their roster and love how they are constantly thinking about new ideas and how to help me reach new audiences in this weird time.”

Future Classic founder Nathan McLay added that the team is “thrilled to be expanding our partnership with Sycco who has quickly found fans and an artist community despite a year in iso”.

“She has such a talent and breezy good vibes that’s infectious, much like her music! Our team in Sydney and L.A. are all super psyched!”
