Former major label employees Elizabeth Browne and Tamara Georgopoulos have today launched their own independent music company ArowAgency, TMN can exclusively reveal.
The Sydney-based co-founders met during their time at Sony Music; Browne was Digital Account Manager at the major, managing accounts such as Spotify and GooglePlay; meanwhile Georgopoulos worked in the label’s A&R department supporting a local roster of close to sixty artists and managing the in-house studio.

ArowAgency, an artist-first company that will offer management, digital and artist development services, has launched with three artists. It currently has management deals with Sydney-based band Breakaway, who have surpassed 2 million Spotify streams and 3 million YouTube views from fan uploaded content, Victorian-based band Residualwhose debut EP peaked at #11 on the Australian iTunes chart, and one of Australia’s most celebrated hardcore acts, Tasmanian-based band Save The Clock Tower.
Breakaway
“It made sense to launch with three bands that we’re fans of, and bands that we know have what it takes to reach the success they deserve,” Browne and Georgopoulos told TMN. “It’s important to be a fan of the music you’re working with and these three bands are very, very special.”
Browne and Georgopoulos have plans to change the way artists are represented in the industry. The pair’s record label experience and love for music will form much of how ArowAgency operates.
“We have learned a great deal from working at a major. We have seen some great examples of what to do, but more importantly, we have learnt some valuable lessons in what not to do.
“We have learned, from both internal and external experiences, that artists deserve more than what they are currently receiving in most circumstances. They deserve a team around them who have their best interests at the heart of every decision that’s made.”

Browne and Georgopoulos have invited unsigned artists to reach out via their websitewww.arowagency.com, or through social media – Facebook.com/arowagency and @arowagencyon Instagram and Twitter.
“First and foremost, we put the artist’s first, always,” the pair told TMN. “We act with integrity to ensure the artist is represented the right way. The goal is to achieve dignified and honest results for our artists and to ensure we are representing them the way they deserve to be represented every step of their journey.”
