EMC announces full program, adds Flume

Organisers of next month’s Electronic Music Conference have announced its full program, adding 30 new speakers to its 20 panels including Flume, Laneway Festival boss Danny Rogers, The Preset’s manager Will Larnach-Jones and Grammy award winning producer Cedric Gervais.

Taking place across Darlinghurst venues The Eternity Playhouse, The Beresford Upstairs, Lo-Fi and The Standard Bowl, the EMC conference will also feature Dutch DJ/producer Laidback Luke, Windish Agency’s Latane Huges, Vicious Boss and DJ John Course, Late Nite Tuff Guy, ARIA nominee Kite String Tangle, US Godfather of dance Donnie Estopinal (SFX/Disco Donnie Presents), Gary Richards (HARD Events/Live Nation), Johnny Shockey (LED Presents), Matt Colon (Deckstar) and one half of What So Not, Sydney DJ/producer Emoh Instead.

The aforementioned will join a lineup of 80 speakers, including artists Porter Robinson, Steve Aoki, Will Sparks, Peking Duk and The Aston Shuffle.

The EMC program includes a panel with the team behind Flume (Future Classic, Bossy Music, Windish) as well as a panel with the team behind Peking Duk (Ministry of Sound, Sony Music, Konkrete), and a panel titled ‘From Zero to Hero: Sustaining the buzz’ with representatives from Totem Onelove Group, Maker Agency, Astral People and Parallel Management.

NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism and Major Events Troy Grant said: “I encourage everyone to make the most of the fantastic EMC 2014 line up and conference program, which will showcase some of Sydney’s great venues and cement our harbour city’s position as the live performance capital of Australia.

For the first time in EMC’s three-year history, organisers have introduced EMC Play, a two night showcase of emerging artists from a list of over 30 leading electronic music labels and collectives.
