Ed Sheeran collects seventh #1 on the Hot 100, drops new single ‘Cross Me’

Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s ‘I Don’t Care’ is the most-played song on Aussie radio, ascending to #1 on the TMN Hot 100 Airplay Chart on its second charting week.

The collab is Sheeran’s seventh #1, joining ‘The A Team’, ‘Thinking Out Loud’, ‘Castle On The Hill’, ‘Shape Of You’, ‘Perfect’ and ‘Happier’.

‘I Don’t Care’ marks the first time since February 2016 that Bieber has reached #1 as a lead artist.

‘Love Yourself’, co-written by Sheeran for Bieber’s 2015 album Purpose, topped the chart over three years ago.

Within that time, JB graced the summit four times as a feature artist on Major Lazer’s ‘Cold Water’, DJ Snake’s ‘Let Me Love You’, DJ Khaled’s ‘I’m The One’ and Luis Fonsi’s ‘Despacito (Remix)’.

Universal Music Australia have a share in the top six tracks on this week’s chart which includes singles by Jonas Brothers, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Lewis Capaldi.

In other news, Sheeran has today (May 24) dropped follow-up single ‘Cross Me’ ft. Chance The Rapper & PnB Rock.

The UK act has also confirmed the release date of new EP No.6 Collaborations Project, due out July 12.
