Digital Chart Wrap: Tove Lo takes #1, Azalea still dominates

Charts & Music Manager

It’s been an interesting week for the digital charts. It looks like the top 5s are set in stone and won’t change for sometime, but there are definitely some new tracks making leaps and bounds up the various digital charts.

This week, the Shazam 100 sees a new #1. Stay High by Tove Lo made the top spot this week after jumping three places from #4. Maybe it’s a sign of what’s to come, with the track slowly but surely making gains on the other digital charts, currently at #12 on the Spotify 20 and #19 on the ARIA Streaming chart.

The Spotify 20 has a fairly stable #5 this week, with tracks only moving up or down in increments of one, the Spotify #1 has stayed the same however, with Fancy by Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX  sitting at #1 for four weeks in a row, and five weeks interrupted. Needless to say, the track has been performing well in other charts, as it has been for previous weeks.

Fancy also happens to be topping the ARIA Streaming chart, again, for the third week in a row. Azalea’s success doesn’t stop there though. Problem by Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea is now #2 after climbing from #3 last week. This means that Azalea now has two tracks in the top 2 of two individual charts. The other chart being The Spotify 20 with an identical top 2.

There’s plenty of movement to be seen this week in the Shazam 100. Electify by Grimm ft. Father Dude jumped from #99 to #73, Zhu’s Paradise Awaits moved up from #70 to #45 and Coldplay’s A Sky Full Of Stars jumped from #41 to #28. The Shazam 100 chart also sees plenty of high debuts this week. Deadmau5’s Seeya entered in at #46, Lorde’s Everybody Wants To Rule The World at #44, 360’s Price Of Fame at #33 and most notably, Ed Sheeran’s Don’t which debuted at #23.

The Spotify chart is starved of movement this week. The only noteworthy jump came from Tove Lo’s Stay High which moved from #19 to #12. There’s little movement in the ARIA Streaming chart either, aside from an incredibly high debut with Gifted But Twisted’s Jagov entering the chart at #4, one of the highest debuts seen on the Streaming chart.
