Delta Goodrem to host 2020 ARIA Awards

Delta Goodrem to host 2020 ARIA Awards

Multi-ARIA-Award-winning artist Delta Goodren will host the 34th Annual next week.

Goodrem has won 12 ARIA Awards across her career. Her debut album, 2003’s Innocent Eyes, is the second-best-selling Australian album of all time, and held the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart for 29 weeks straight.

She has had nine #1 singles, four #1 albums and 17 top 10 hits.

ARIA said her extensive and successful music career, combined with nine seasons as a coach on Channel 9’s The Voice made her the natural choice to host this year’s celebration.

Channel 9 is also the broadcaster of the ARIA Awards.

“We are very excited to have as our host for the . She is no stranger to the ARIA stage, having taken home 12 ARIAs and delivered us a number of magic moments over her stellar career. This year she has dealt with the challenges of 2020 by remaining creative whilst raising funds and awareness for people in need. I can’t wait for Delta to lead our reflection – and celebration – of a one-of-a-kind year,” outgoing ARIA chief executive, Dan Rosen, said.

Goodrem said she is looking forward to taking to the stage.

“I am beyond honoured to be hosting the 2020 ARIA Awards bringing to people’s homes the music that has meant so much to them this year. The Australian music industry has had a year unlike any other we have ever faced before, and I am so looking forward to celebrating with you all – albeit remotely, as we come together to recognise and celebrate how talented this industry is to a global audience,” she said.

Goodrem is currently working on her next album, but last week surprised fans with a Christmas album via Sony Music Entertainment, Only Santa Knows.

ARIA also revealed the presenters for the ceremony, which takes place on November 25 in partnership with YouTube Music.
