Dean Lewis’ ’Waves’ scores third (and biggest) TV sync

US TV just can’t get enough of Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis. His acoustic version of ‘Waves’ will feature in the mid-season finale of the hit US series Suits.

It’s the third time the song has been placed in a US TV series, the previous being Riverdale and Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments.

Since the track’s release in Australia in late 2016, ’Waves’ has amassed over 45 million streams globally and is certified double Platinum in Australia, having spent all this year in the ARIA Top 40 Singles Chart.

It’s taken from Lewis’ debut EP Same Kind Of Different which landed in May 2017.

With latest single ‘Lose My Mind’ gaining momentum in Australia, Lewis will return to the country for a national tour in October after completing his first headline shows in the US and Canada last month.

The mid-season finale of Suits will go to air on September 14 at 8:30pm on Foxtel in Australia.
