Cornelius and O’Gorman take top A&R roles at Ivy League Records

Cornelius and O’Gorman take top A&R roles at Ivy League Records

Ivy League Records has experienced a reshuffling of its ranks today, with Mushroom Group announcing new A&R and Label Managers at the record label.

Marihuzka Cornelius has today been promoted to the rank of A&R Manager at Ivy League Records. Having been part of the Ivy League Records family for the last six years as a Label Manager, Cornelius has used this time to work closely with a number of established and up-and-coming local acts, including The Rubens, Cloud Control, Bad//Dreems, and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.

Having spent years also working with Warner Music, and due to the involvement within her own band, Bloods, Marihuzka Cornelius’ experience is well-documented, and her unique understanding of the artistic process is welcomed with open arms by the beloved label.

Chris Maund, Mushroom Labels & Publishing COO, expressed his eagerness to have Marihuzka Cornelius as the new A&R Manager for the label. “Marihuzka has great A&R ears, artists love working with her and it’s time she stepped up into a full A&R role,” he said.

“We are really looking forward to her putting her stamp on the Ivy League roster.”

Of course, with Marihuzka Cornelius moving up the ranks, her old Label Manager role was left empty. Now, Madeleine O’Gorman is set to fill up that position.

Having spent time as the Label Manager of Liberator Music, Mushroom Group’s international division, Madeleine O’Gorman’s abundance of knowledge and experience will be put to good use by the label.
