‘I’m thrilled to begin this new partnership’: Cooking Vinyl Australia signs Tracy McNeil
Cooking Vinyl Australia signed alt-country/pop act Tracy McNeil & The GoodLife.
New single ‘Catch You’ is out tomorrow (November 12), with her fifth album You Be The Lightning scheduled for February.
Cooking Vinyl Australia has other roots acts like Lucinda Williams, John Prine, Patty Griffin, Mia Dyson and Fanny Lumsden.
Co-managing director Leigh Gruppetta says McNeil is a “prolific talent”.
“Tracy is a fearless and prolific talent who has carved her own path for a number of years, so we’re honoured to now be part of the team.
“You Be the Lightning is such a fine record; from the very first listen it was clear we had to be involved.”
Canadian-born McNeil has released four albums independently.
‘Catch You’, a live favourite, was c0-produced by McNeil and Dan Parsons, and recorded live off the floor at The Aviary Recording Studios and mixed by Alex O’Gorman.
Of the signing, McNeil opines, “What an exciting time to be welcomed into the Cooking Vinyl family.
“It feels as though the stars have aligned, bringing in a compassionate new team of great people who believe in quality music.
“CVA have the expertise and industry savvy to help us reach new audiences as a band and allow me to push new boundaries as an artist.
