Australia’s biggest brands are increasingly in Christmas mode, with supermarket giant Coles the latest to release its festive campaign.

Coles’ Christmas effort is soundtracked by Emily Soon’s new take on the classic Neil Diamond Song ‘Beautiful Noise’.

Soon’s reimagining of the song will also be released across the country as a single.

Music supervision for the campaign was done by Level Two Music, while Universal Music Publishing Group was the publisher.

Coles conducted a survey of almost 7,500 Australians to take the temperature on what they will value most this Christmas season and then create a campaign to reflect this feeling and what its customers most looking forward to.

Coles’ chief marketing officer, Lisa Ronson, said this year’s campaign reflects that customers are looking for something truly special to celebrate.

“Coles has been working for more than a year to ensure our customers will have a joyful Christmas with loved ones, many of whom they will be reuniting with for the first time in months, or even years,” she said.

She said the campaign – which sees Australians who need a release and are excited to come together – is an emotive one.

The integrated campaign was created by DDB Australia. Managing director of strategy and growth, Leif Stromnes, said his team is proud to be part of telling the Australian Christmas story.

“This campaign encapsulates the emotional release we’ve been waiting for this year,” he said. “There’s nothing like laughing with friends and family and reconnecting over food. It felt right for Coles to be part of celebrating this moment with Australians.”
