Client Liaison to play Midem (Cannes) as finalists on Artist Accelerator list

Australia’s Client Liaison aka Harvey Miller and Monte Morgan are having their international ambitions accelerated.

They’ve just been named as one of 11 finalists for the Midem Artist Accelerator (MAA), the international music career booster to fast-track talent on the world stage.

Midem takes place in Cannes, France, from June 5-8.

Now in its fourth year, the MAA has a solid track record for moving careers along.

Last year’s participants saw Be Charlotte sign to Columbia Deutschland/Sony Music Germany and Iris Gold to a global deal with Playground Music Scandinavia after both were spotted in Cannes.

Manifest was booked for several festivals and struck a deal with a music consultant who helped him to negotiate recording contracts for singles and for music placements in film.

The 2018 finalists include R&B/ hip hop acts AKA (South Africa), Big Star (South Africa), Dylan Williams (UK), HAUTE (France), La Dame Blanche (Cuba) and T$EGO (South Africa).

Waving the pop flag were Client Liaison along with Agar Agar (France), Damian Lynn (Switzerland), and Hyphen Hyphen (France).

Bez from Nigeria was the only one representing world music.

Client Liaison, along with the other finalists, will play live on the Midem Beach in Cannes in a series of concerts during the event. They also get a tailored programme during the tradeshow which includes coaching sessions and networking opportunities.

If Client Liaison receives the most public votes of the 11 they will get the chance to perform at the Midem 2018 Opening Night Party.

All of the finalists will get additional mentoring in subjects such as data analytics, how to understand streaming services, free legal consultation, fan messaging, music syncs and placements and digital/social media strategy.

Client Liaison is signed to Dot Dash/Remote Control and assign their publishing to Mushroom Music.

This month saw the release of ‘Diplomatic Immunity Remixed’, with remixes of their debut album tracks by Dreems, Panama, Ariela Jacobs, Luke Million, Northeast Party House, Christopher Wiseman, Solo Dan, Shouse, Oliver Tank, Muki and Ben Browning.
