aria midweek chart predictions jan 21

It looks as if the ARIA Singles chart could be seeing a new #1 next week in the form of OMI’s Cheerleader, which currently sits at #3. The Avener is set to break the Top 10 with Fade Out Lines continuing its trend of strong movement up from #14. Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off is on its way back into the Top 10 from #15 following a burst of sales this week. Calvin Harris’ Pray To God featuring HAIM is likely going to crack the Top 15 in its third week in the chart, up from #26.

Set to be a definite contender for #1 on the ARIA Albums chart next week is the debut from Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk which seems very likely. Also looking at a strong debut is Fall Out Boy’s American Beauty/American Psycho, which will be landing roughly in the lower spectrum of the Top 5. Above & Beyond’s We Are All We Need is also set for a reasonably strong debut, likely to land in the Top 10. The only significant movement to be expected will come from Paul Kelly’s The Merri Soul Sessions which is moving into the Top 40.
