BIGSOUND 2019 unveils final 68 acts & 18 official venues

With BIGSOUND 2019 in Brisbane just weeks away, excitement is starting to head to a fever pitch.

The second and final artist lineup has been announced, with Mojo Juju (also previously announced as a keynote speaker), Japanese Wallpaper, These New South Whales, RedHook, Savage The Girl, Adrian Eagle, imbi the girl, Cry Club and SUPEREGO leading the second and final reveal.

There are a number of Canadians on the list, as well as one from New Zealand and the UK.

Tones and I, Bad//Dreems, Electric Fields, Milan Ring, Tasman Keith, yergurl, EGOISM led the first group of confirmed artists in June.

This is also a landmark year for BIGSOUND, as it leaves its long-time home to head for Cloudland as its base.

“The BIGSOUND Artist Village has turned our festival up to eleven with this game-changing initiative designed to look after showcasing artists,” said QMusic CEO Angela Samut.

“The Artist Village was announced to all showcasing artists and was fully booked in 24 hours with a wait list,” Ms Samut said.

“We look forward to welcoming BIGSOUND artists to the Village where they can relax, rehearse and with the potential to form new collaborations.”

It’s also unveiled its 18 official venues where delegates will check out the 145 new acts whom they deem the most export-ready.

Venues include 256 Wickham, Black Bear Lodge, Ric’s Big Backyard, The Valley Drive In, X-Cargo Social Hub, Family, The Outpost and 10 more.
