ARIA Chart Predictions: The Wiggles to make history with their fiftieth studio album

Proving their relevance more than 25 years on from the group’s inception, Australia’s own children’s music-makers The Wiggles lead the debuts on the ARIA Albums Chart. Nursery Rhymes 2 will go up against the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Greatest Showman soundtrack and Vance Joy for a spot in the Top 3.

2017’s Nursery Rhymes (#15) became The Wiggles’ highest charting album in Australia, with the second installment destined to blow that peak out of the water. The group have now released a total of fifty studio records, three live albums, and eight compilations.

Vying for the Top 5 on the chart is Calum Scott’s debut LP Only Human. Fans went crazy over multi-Platinum single ‘Dancing On My Own’, which peaked at #2 on the ARIA Singles Chart in October 2016. ‘Dancing’, as well as latest single ‘You Are The Reason’, which are both featured on the album.

Ian Moss’ self-titled release is on track for the Top 10 this week, as is the latest album from legendary British heavy metal band Judas Priest. The latter have never entered the Top 10 previously and will attempt to put an end to that unwanted statistic this time around.

Australian Eurovision single ‘#We Got Love’ performed by Jessica Mauboy is poised for a debut on the Singles Chart this week (Top 40), while Logic & Marshmello’s collab effort ‘Everyday’ will seek a spot in the Top 50.
