APRA AMCOS appoints Alison Wright as new head of member services

Music rights management organisation APRA AMCOS has announced the appointment of Alison Wright as its new head of member services.

Effective from this week, Wright will manage the rights organisation’s membership strategy, framework and roadmap for publishers, composers and songwriters, and will form a key part of the APRA AMCOS executive leadership.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Wright has formerly held leadership positions with the National Gallery of Australia (NGA), Red Bridge Communications and Visteon, with her most recent position being CEO with the National Health Cooperative.

APRA AMCOS CEO Dean Ormston welcomed Wright to the organisation and said that her leadership experience would be crucial to the industry body’s membership growth.

“Alison’s strengths as a strategic thinker, relationship-builder, commercial manager, collaborator and communicator, position her to excel in leading our membership team to deliver world-class service to our members. We’re thrilled to have her on board as a senior leader in our organisation,” Ormston remarked.

Wright said she is delighted to join APRA AMCOS and support its members who make, create and contribute to culture every day.

“I hope to build on the exceptional work of the division and continue to shine a light on the power and importance of the music industry through our members,” Wright added.

Wright will fill the shoes of former head of member services Jana Gibson, who announced her departure from the music rights organisation in April to focus on her family life and explore other career options.

wright will relocate from Canberra to Melbourne for the role.
