Amrap Chart Wrap – The Waifs and Major Leagues remain on top in community radio charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees The Waifs and Major Leagues hold onto the top spots.

The Waifs have held onto #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with their homesick new single 6000 Miles. Watch a live performance clip of the song as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including 4ZZZ Brisbane, Melton Community Radio in VIC , RTR FM Perth, Radio Goolarri in WA and Byron Bay FM in NSW. The emotional track has garnered further airplay in every state and territory at stations including ArtSound FM in ACT, PBA FM in SA, CAAMA Radio in NT, King Island Radio in TAS, 6DBY, 6CKI, Twin Cities Radio and Albany Community Radio in WA, Bay FM and Fraser Coast FM in QLD, UGFM, The Pulse and Casey Radio in VIC, as well as Monaro FM, STA FM, 2MIA and Greater Hume Radio in NSW.

Brisbane pals Major Leagues also return at #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Someone Sometime. The fuzzy pop single has hit a sweet spot with metropolitan stations, picking up a position in their hometown station 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20 and rotation on FBi Radio Sydney. SAFIA have climbed from #4 to take #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the crisp and snappy beats of Embracing Me. The track has racked up further airplay across the country at CAAMA Radio in NT, Noongar Radio in WA, Radio Adelaide in SA, Noosa Community Radio and Cairns FM in QLD, Southern FM and 3RPP in VIC, and also Bega Community Radio, Yass FM and 2TLC in NSW.

Eagle-eared Melbourne producer Andrei Eremin has held on to #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Anhedoniac. Eremin’s liquid beats have earned him rotation on FBi Radio Sydney, a spot in RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection and SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 playlist. The atmospheric single has racked up further airplay at CAAMA Radio in NT, 5GTR in SA, Twin Cities Radio in WA, 2YYY and 2EAR in NSW, as well as Triple R, 3NRG, 3RPC and Ballarat Community Radio in VIC.

Vance Joy has entered the Amrap Regional Chart at #3 with the driving, emotionally charged single Fire and the Flood. Queensland six-piece Cheap Fakes debut at #5 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the persuasively titled Baby, It’s AGood Song. Canberra’s Coda Conduct have taken #8 in the Metro Chart with Paint it Gold.
