Independent Melbourne label ACTS has added a raft of new acts to its roster before the end of the year.

The label has signed Nouri ahead of her debut EP release early next year. Nouri has worked with the likes of Trey Songs and Snoop Dogg and has generated over 10 million streams in the past two years.

ACTS has also signed The Ghost Riders, a Melbourne country duo with a masked image to hide their identity. The duo are said to be established musicians and producers with credits such as T-Pain, Bee Gees, Olivia Newton John and Pharrell Williams.

The third artist, coming on board for development, is Stilla, whose EP Motions came out earlier this year.

The final new signing aims to diversify ACTS Music Group’s reach and catalogue. Bubble & Squeak is a children’s act with a 10-song nursery rhyme project rolling out over spring and summer.

The label said it focuses on genres that are not generally favoured by labels, and its roster is now over 60% female. All its artists and roster team are under the age of 30.

Cam Noble, the label owner, said he’s excited about all the new signings.

“As well as having Nouri join our key roster, I am also extremely glad to be working with so many local acts at the beginning of their journey. The signing of Melbourne pop singer Stilla has been a few years in the making. She is a very talented writer, and has been part of quite a few projects over the past three years, and to bring her on as her own new artist and see her grow, is something I am looking forward to being heavily involved with,” he said.

“The Ghost Riders are a masked country duo, based in Melbourne. Behind the two masked men, are established session musicians and producers with credits ranging from Pharrell Williams, Olivia Newton-John, T-Pain and Lenny Kravitz. With their debut single ‘Can’t Help Fallin’ releasing on November 19th and three follow ups throughout summer, we are very excited to bring a sense of mainstream country and country pop to the scene.

“Bubble & Squeak are a very unique duo, and we are very lucky to sign them to the ACTS family. As voice actors for many popular animated kids TV series, Bubble & Squeak allow ACTS to provide music to a whole new audience.”

He added that 2022 is shaping up to be a very promising year for ACTS Music Group.

“With over 100 releases in 2021, I look forward to not only see these new artists flourish, but to continue seeing our current roster grow further. Seeing our artists thrive and being part of their journey in any way, is the most rewarding thing for myself and the team.”

Head of A&R, Sally Hayes, added: “We are super excited to welcome Nouri to our roster and be part of her upcoming debut EP ‘Handle With Care’. Nouri has grown a strong fanbase and achieved over 10million streams in the past couple years. ACTS is excited to be part of this next journey with her and be part of what we believe will be a very long career together.”
