As Travis Scott’s Astroworld debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart this week, a Travis Scott inflatable was seen sailing through Sydney harbour.

Sydney joined other cities including London, New York, Houston, Atlanta, Paris and Los Angeles in displaying the gold replica of his head, found on the cover artwork by renowned photographer David LaChapelle as the  carnival-style entrance to Astroworld.

Travis “heads” popped up at Screwed Up Records at Minute Maid Park in his hometown of Houston, just a stone’s throw from the site of the original Six Flags Astroworld park he frequented as a child.

They were also at the BAPE Store in Times Square New York City, Magic City in Atlanta and Amoeba Records in Los Angeles.

Scott makes his debut solo performance at the 2018 VMAs with a medley of songs from the album.

In Australia, two tracks are already Top 10 hits: Sicko Mode reaching #7 and Stargazing at #10 on the ARIA chart.

In the US, where Astroworld debuted at #1 with 537,000 equivalent album units, he has become the fourth artist to land at least 17 tracks simultaneously on the Top 100.

The other three were Drake (three times), Ed Sheeran and J. Cole.
