Jane Huxley to depart Pandora

As Internet radio giant Pandora plunges into the crowded all-you-can-eat streaming space, the platform’s Australia & New Zealand Managing Director, Jane Huxley, has resigned.

After five years with the company, Huxley has departs on Friday (March 24) to “pursue other opportunities” (AdNews). It’s unclear what her next move will be.

Huxley said: “It’s been an amazing ride, during my time we have grown a listener base of over five million registered users, successfully implement the commercial model in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, and established many significant market partnerships.”

Prior to setting up Pandora Australia in 2012, Huxley was a Non-Executive Director at SurfStitch.com and CEO and Publisher of the digital arm of Fairfax Metro.

Taly Yaniv, Director of Revenue Operations for AU/NZ, will step in as the interim head of ANZ.

Pandora CEO Tim Westergreen said: “[Huxley] has firmly established our brand in the ANZ market, built a world class team and pioneered our first subsidiaries outside of the United States, we wish her well.”
