King Stingray won big at the 2023 National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs).

The Northern Territory rockers won the awards for Film Clip of the Year and Song of the year thanks to their song, “Let’s Go”, taken from their acclaimed self-titled debut album.

Budjerah, who memorably toured with Ed Sheeran in 2023, was named Artist of the Year, seeing off strong competition from the likes of Jessica Mauboy and Mo’Ju.

Wildfire Manwurrk were also big winners on the night, earning themselves Community Clip of the Year as well as the Archie Roach Foundation Award.

Yothu Yindi were inducted into the NIMAs Hall of Fame on the night, while Kobie Dee, Dean Brady, Thelma Plum, Barkaa, Ngulmiya, and Budjerah performed at the Darwin ceremony.

You can check out the full list of winners below.

“So proud of all the artists, performers, nominees and winners at this year’s NIMAs. It was an exceptional night of Blak excellence,” said NIMA Creative Director Ben Graetz.

If you missed the action over the weekend, the 2023 NIMAs will be broadcast on SBS VIceland on Friday, August 18th at 11:05pm and on SBS the following day at 9am.
