2022 Gold Coast Music Awards: Finalists Revealed
The 2022 Gold Coast Music Awards have unveiled finalists for its eighth season.
There were 686 nominations, leading awards co-founder Chloe Popa to say, “It’s incredible to think that that is just a small portion of the music being produced on the Gold Coast each year.”
She was pleased with the make-up of the finalists.
“There is a very strong contingent of emerging artists and new talent making waves on the Gold Coast right now.
“The finalists reflect a good balance of rising stars as well as musicians already recognisable on the national and international stage like Casey Barnes, Tijuana Cartel, Hussy Hicks, Eliza and the Delusionals and Hollow Coves.”
To further recognise those working behind the scenes, 2022 sees the two new categories – Studio Producer and Visual Creative.
The Gold Coast Music Awards is partnering with the Gold Coast’s newest free music festival SPRINGTIME, held on the Surfers Paradise beachfront over three days celebrating leftfield alternative, electronic and hip hop.
The Gold Coast Music Awards ceremony on September 3, will take place from midday at HOTA, Home of the Arts.
