Network 10 is bringing its flagship current affairs show 10 NEWS+ to Spotify, making it available to stream ad-free in both video and audio formats.

It’s a a global first for commercial free-to-air TV news on the platform.

Premiering Monday, June 30th at 6pm, “10 NEWS+” builds on Network 10’s trusted 5pm local bulletins, offering deeper analysis, extended context, and long-form investigative journalism. The new format gives audiences the flexibility to access trusted news content in more ways than ever before.

Spotify Premium subscribers will be able to watch or listen to the program in a video podcast format, providing a seamless, ad-free experience whether at home or on the move.

Rashell Habib, Head of Digital News & Strategy at Network 10, said:

“The need for trusted news has never been greater, but audiences today are more fragmented than ever.

“We understand audiences no longer rely solely on traditional media. The rise of news-focused podcasts clearly indicates a shift in consumption. We’re committed to meeting audiences where they already are, and this Spotify partnership ensures we do exactly that, delivering trusted news in formats and places audiences prefer.”

Prithi Dey, Head of Podcasts, Spotify AUNZ, added:

“As one of the leading platforms for creators, Spotify has an engaged fan base constantly looking for their next favourite podcast, audiobook, or song. We continue to hear that audiences want the flexibility of video podcasts – even diehard audio fans appreciate being able to seamlessly switch between formats, and that’s exactly what Spotify offers.”

“This new partnership marks a milestone as the first commercial free-to-air news program to launch as a video podcast on Spotify. It delivers on our promise to listeners by expanding access to quality content in the format that suits them best – whether they’re watching or listening, at home or on the move.”

“10 NEWS+” is anchored Sunday to Thursday by investigative journalist Denham Hitchcock and Walkley Award-winning journalist Amelia Brace, with Ursula Heger and Hugh Riminton hosting Friday editions.

The program will be available across broadcast, streaming, social platforms, and now Spotify.
